Black Tulip Publishing launches ‘Over 2,000 Tomatoes’, its first ebook, in April 2007.

The book includes descriptions of over 2,000 tomatoes including fascinating heirlooms, many open-pollinated, organic and uniform hybrid fruits. It covers all tomato colours showing the full variety of this fabulous fruit - black, brown, green, orange, purple, pink, yellow, white and ubiquitous red. Approximately two thirds are red, the remainder are a kaleidoscope of colours, each with their own unique taste.
The book also includes full growing instructions from seed, aftercare, diseases, hints and professional tips to get maximum yields and some culinary tips and recipes.

Karen Platt is a vegetarian and has been growing and testing tomatoes for 10 years. She is particularly interested in black tomatoes. She has been an avid tomato lover since an old gentleman first introduced her to yellow tomatoes at the age of 10.
Karen is well-known for her compilation of seed catalogues - The ‘Seed Search’, now in its fifth and final printed edition, and for her popular work, ‘Seed Sowing and Growing Success’ in its second edition. The next edition of the Seed Search will be available later this year as an e-book only.
